Day 1: robust ecological corridor German border via the Veluwe to Oostvaardersplassen
We will make a full day tour from the German border to the Oostvaardersplassen. We will have a stop with introduction in the Millingerwaard / Gelderse Poort. From there we will travel to the southern Veluwe (Veluwezoom). We will cross the Gelderse Vallei that have to be linked with a robust ecological corridor by 2018. East of the Horsterwold a connectivity is foreseen with the Veluwe to connect a nutrient poor an dry ecosystem with a wet a rich one. The Horsterwold may become fermly connected with the Oostvaardersplassen, where we will end this field seminar listening to the noice of hundreds of rutting red deer.
Pictures will be added soon.
