white tailed eagle and other carrion eaters

The numbers of white tailed eagle are increasing in our country. This combined with some areas - such as the Oostvaardersplassen - with a high number of large herbivores, that are allowed to die under natural circumstances is a good base for large carnivore eaters.

This gives some photographers execellent opportunities to make spectacular photos. The website of Martijn de Jonge gives a number of fantastic examples.

The ecological role of wild boar might be comparable with that of hyenas in Africa.
