RE-WILDING OF KNEPP
The collapse of agricultural profitability over the past ten years has had a dramatic impact on the Knepp Estate and has led us to make very significant changes in the way we look at and manage our land.
The projects are designed to explore alternative ways by which unproductive ex-agricultural land such as ours can be looked after at a low cost while conferring considerable benefits on the British countryside.
Hopefully the re-wilding of Knepp will be a wonderful resource not only for schools and a whole range of specialist groups such as bird-watchers, botanists, conservationists and natural scientists, but will also prove a source of interest and enjoyment for the local community as well.
